Award-winning writer, producer, and director in the U.S. and U.K.

Kenneth Cavander's plays, translations, adaptations and musicals for both adult and family audiences have been performed at many leading regional theatres in the U.S., including the Guthrie Theatre, Minneapolis, New Haven's Long Wharf Theatre, the Hartford Stage Company, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and New York's Lincoln Center Institute, and on and off Broadway in New York. He was a founding director of the Williamstown Theatre Festival Second Company. Cavander began his theatre career in London, working at the Royal Court. Later he collaborated with Royal Shakespeare Company Director John Barton on a notable 3-evening series of plays, The Greeks, adapted from ten classical dramas. First produced at the RSC's Aldwych Theatre in London, The Greeks has been translated and performed world wide.
